The Pearl

Definition of parable is a short allegorical story designed to illustrate or teach some truth, religious principle, or moral lesson. The parable of 'The Pearl' is money can not be satisfaction for us al l the time. I thought the author compared the doctor as our society these days. I also felt that author wanted to tell us how to be happy even with lots of money or wealth.

After I read this story, I realized that money can harm us. For example, in this story, Kino brought the pearl and every bad situations happened to his family. Because of that little amount of money it hurt many people around Kino.

I noticed that the author wants us to understand the true meaning of money, and I think he was trying to persuade people to use money on good things.

Guess this tone

Nemo attends a school that makes students to speak English only. Students would get a trouble if they speak other language that English. Nemo feels unsure if this is the only way to improve his and students' English skills. He agrees with an idea that he is not allowed to speak foreign language other than English. However, he doesn't like the way he is not allow to speak Korean in the school.

guess the mood

I had a basketball championship game. I was in the locker room, get dressing. Because I didn't have much time, I didn't put all of my clothes into my locker. After the game ended, I came back to the locker room, and some of my clothes were gone. I asked everybody in my team and nobody said they took it. However, there would be no one else other than my teammates who took my clothes.
